Testimonials

11 years ago I met Hutton family. It was the beginning of my life changing moment. I was 29 years old back then and completely heart broken and also lost of hope. I had no idea what to do with my life. Cindy taught me God's love and Murray taught me the Bible and he also taught me how amazing God is.
I would discribe Murray as caring, gentle and loving but also full of wise wisdom.
Murray also has an amazing gift of teaching and passion for people.
And Cindy loves any kind of people out there and she knows how to take care of them, especially broken hearted ones. She has a huge amount of mummy heart and so comforting to just be with her. Once you meet them you'll know what I'm talking about.

I highly recommend these God gifted people.

Last week I asked a group of young adults I mentor to write down who the most influential person was in their life.  I decided to do the same, and the first person to spring to mind was Murray Hutton.

Murray Hutton has been my mentor for quite a while now.  It is by far the best one-to-one life-coaching I have ever had. The following are several reasons why the Walk of Life mentoring programme has been a  real blessing to me.

  1. The best way a mentor can prepare another leader is to expose him or her to other great people.  Murray has done this for me. He has a great “brain to pick”, and has directed me to many life-enhancing books.

  1. One of the most basic and powerful ways to connect to another person is to listen.  I have found Murray to be a very good listener. It is nice to be in a mentoring relationship where “it swings both ways”, where the mentored is encouraged to also have an opinion, and that opinion is actually valued.

  1. A good mentor is someone who sees more talent and ability within you than you see in yourself, and helps bring it out of you.   There have been times when Murray has believed in me when I was struggling to believe in myself.  As someone beautifully said, “Some people have gone further than they thought they could, because someone else thought they could”.

  1. Steven Spielberg once said, “The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves”.  I have never felt squeezed into a mould.  Rather, Walk of Life has only encouraged me to live authentically from my God given design.

  1. Life is difficult.  My journey has had its fair-share of ups and downs.  But through it all Walk of Life has been there for me. It’s been a place of safety, a source of reliable wisdom, and a well-spring of motivation and inspiration. My mentoring experience with Walk of Life has been an excellent one, and I highly recommend them and their service to you.

I have had the great privilege of getting to know and understand the love, dedication and passion that Murray Hutton has for ministry but more importantly his heart to see and help people grow and develop.
I am a product of Murrays ability and willingness to understand where one has come from and where one is going, it's through his judgeless and selfless per suite for ones personal and spiritual growth that I have become confident in being perfectly imperfect and inspired to see his vision grow. Murray Hutton is not my mentor nor my councillor, he is my mate .......and that's what sets him apart from the rest, he's about relationship not reputation
